I had heard about this remarkable journey of twenty-nine thousand rubber ducks. Story goes that in 1992, a tanker was going through the Pacific Ocean, got caught in a storm, big tank fell off, broke up, and twenty-nine thousand rubber ducks started floating. (They) worked right through the Bering Straits into the Atlantic Ocean. They stayed together right up until halfway down the Atlantic Ocean. After about six years, for some reason they split into two groups. Half started heading toward the west coast of Ireland, half started heading toward the east coast of the U.S. Nobody knows why. And after the period of twelve years they've been bleached white by the sun.
